There are some trends that I love instantly, while others are a complete no go from the offset, however, sometimes there are styles that I ‘um and ah’ about for a while before deciding to jump on the bandwagon. In today’s #OOTD I am tackling the tricky corset trend. Done right I think it can look pretty cool, but done wrong and you may run the risk of looking like you got dressed in the dark! Not good. I stumbled across this tshirt-corset combo while browsing on ASOS and decided to give it a whirl. On initial thoughts, I wanted to style it with sneakers and a backpack to create a casual-cool kinda look, but after trying it on, I…

Hey guys, I hope you are all doing well. Sorry for the big gap between posts, I have been super busy working on several different projects. I haven’t spoken much about my main job before on this blog or shared any of my work outfits with you for that matter. I usually like to keep it casual and cool ‘up in here’ (as DMX would say) lol, but I do occasionally (shock horror) smarten myself up a bit. I work full time for as an Operations Manager for a charity that supports individuals and families affected by a rare form of cancer. Most of the time smart casual dress is ok, but sometimes a more business appropriate outfit is required.…

I fell in love with this leather jacket from The Kooples about 4 years ago when it first hit the stores, but at around £600ish I didn’t even consider buying it, but a few months later I popped into the store and it was a third of the price in the sale! They only had one in a size smaller than I would normally wear, my heart sank, but when I tried it on it fitted perfectly. I couldn’t believe it, I literally did a happy dance! After waering this one for a while, I would definitely recommend sizing down when buying a leather jacket as they always tend stretch quite a bit. This one has, so I am glad that…

Happy Sunday guys! Sorry, it’s been a bit quiet on the blog this week, I have had such a crazy week which meant I was unable to spare any time to post. Boo! I always try my best to post twice a week, but sometimes it’s just not possible when working two jobs, unfortunately. This being said, I am planning to get myself super organised over the coming weeks to ensure that there is always new content for you, on a regular basis. I am even considering treating myself to a new desk at home; there is nothing more motivating than a fresh new workspace. I have been going crazy searching on Pinterest for ideas, if you fancy a nosey,…

Soooo here is the first outfit that I wore, just after Christmas, with my new Valentino Lock Noir handbag. I wasn’t planning on shooting these photos as we were just going for a casual stroll down Brick Lane for lunch on a Sunday, but after swinging this beauty over my shoulder, I felt the need to snap some pics and share them with you. Most of these items I have had in my wardrobe for a very long time, take the furball I am wearing on my head, for example, I bought this about 8 years ago during a wet camping weekend in Wales. We stopped off at a camp shop to pick up some supplies, it was freezing outside,…

I’m really into black lace at the moment, I love how it looks so classy and feels sexy on the skin. From lacey dresses, like this one, to dainty lingerie, I love it all. I’m dying to buy a lace dress from Self Portrait, but as they are a bit on the pricey side, I must wait for a special occasion first! One of my best friends is getting married next year though, so what better excuse to get me a new lacey number. Woohoo! Thanks, Cheryl. I know it’s a long time to wait, but it will be worth it. I picked up this black lace dress just before Christmas to wear to a blogger event I was attending.…

I’ve always been a bit of a tomboy, when I was younger I used to hate wearing dresses and always wanted to wear trousers or shorts with t-shirts and jumpers instead, I even chose which high school I went to because the girls were allowed to wear trousers there. No way was I going to wear a pleated skirt every day, jeez. No, thank you. It’s not just in a fashion sense either, I always preferred boys toys, I always had a boys bike, while the other girls were playing with Barbies, I would be hanging upside down in a tree or riding my BMX off ‘dead man’s drop’ – if any of you are from Wythenshawe in south Manchester,…

I’m sat here, writing this post, feeling guilty about spending money on myself. Doh! I do this a lot, it’s not always after buying something really expensive either, it could a meal out with friends or a £5 lipstick. However, 2nd January 2017 is the day that this is going to stop! Hopefully. I’m sure I’m not alone here, do you ever feel like this? I know I have friends that tell me that they ‘feel the guilt’ after treating themselves to something nice too, and I’m always quick to tell them to stop being silly, so it’s about time I took my own advice. First I will explain the reason behind this pang of guilt, which you’ve probably guessed…
