ACCESSORISE A DRESS FROM DAY TO NIGHT

ACCESSORISE A DRESS FROM DAY TO NIGHT

First of all, let me start by saying how comfortable this dress feels on the skin, the material is so soft and cosy with its high neck, it is the perfect transitional piece. There’s nothing better than finding that key item for your wardrobe that you can wear again and again in so many different ways.

ACCESSORISE FOR THE DAY

During the day I will usually be walking to my office, it takes about 40 mins, so comfort is key here. I always choose something that will keep me warm and protected from the weather, but looks stylish too, of course. You can’t go wrong with a jumper dress, Chelsea boots and a classic shopper bag – flat boots are perfect for walking and the bag is big enough to fit in all of my work bits and bobs in, as well as my evening accessories that I will change into later before meeting with friends for cocktails.

What’s great about these two looks is that it only takes 3 accessories to transition this jumper dress from casual chic to evening elegance.

ACCESSORISE FOR THE NIGHT

For an easy swap from day to night using minimal accessories, I went for a pair of leopard print block heeled boots as they add texture and colour, as well as elongating the legs. Then I switched up the shopper for a clutch, this is a sure way to evolve into an elegant evening look – this lovely velvet bag is so on trend right now, it can be worn crossbody too as it has a silver chain strap tucked inside, which is great for travelling to and from your evening destination with the girls. To finish off the look I added some stacking rings that give that extra bit of sparkle needed to complete my party outfit.

Which look is your favourite? Do you have any tips on transitioning a dress from day to night? I’d love to hear them.
