MY DESIGNER SHOE COLLECTION: CHANEL, BALENCIAGA, MIU MIU & MORE

Shoe and handbag collection videos are my absolute favourite to watch on YouTube. I seriously LOVE stalking people’s wardrobes. Don’t judge me! Since I’m not quite brave enough for YouTube myself, I thought I would share my designer shoe collection in a blog post instead.

Up until recently I haven’t been able to afford designer shoes at all, I would just look at them lovingly and pray to the gods that one day they would be mine. I think the shoes from Tory Burch started off my addiction a year or so ago, and then I bought my dream boots from Balenciaga and the rest is history. Another fashion addiction, to go with my designer handbags ‘issue’!

I will tell you where I bought each shoe, how much they cost, whether I think they were a good purchase and, as always, I’ll link to the each shoe or a similar pair. Read on to find out more about my designer shoe collection.

BALENCIAGA

If you read this blog regularly or follow me on Instagram you will know that I say “I can’t believe I own these shoes” every time I wear my Balenciaga boots. Honestly though, I really can’t. Mainly because they cost an absolute arm and a leg, and I nearly had a heart attack when buying them! But I have never regretted the purchase of them for a second. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. I think you get the point…

A couple of tips if you are thinking of buying them; I was originally going to buy a size 6 as the 5 felt a very tight on me, however I was advised that they would stretch quite a bit. I am so glad that I listened to the Sales Assistant as after quite a lot of wear I know the size 6 would be way too big for me. I did have to go through quite a bit of pain (many blisters and lots of crying that I was never going to find them comfortable) to get to this point but it was worth it. They are now as comfy as my fluffy slippers! I don’t actually own fluffy slippers, but you know what I mean.

These boots were definitely not an impulse buy; I had been lusting after them for years before I parted with my hard earned cash. They cost £795 from Balenciaga in Selfridges flagship store in London. Even with the hefty price tag, they are still worth every penny.

KARL LARGERFELD

This is my newest designer shoe purchase, along with the two pairs from Coach below. I went a bit shoe crazy during my last trip to the US; don’t let me lose in Saks 5th Avenue again as I’ll leave with 3 pairs of shoes and a handbag, oops! As you’ve probably noticed, I’m not usually a heel wearer, but I find these Karl Lagerfeld sandals so comfortable. I even wore them for a full night out recently, where I was standing up all night and my feet survived! I know that might sound ridiculous to the 6inch heel lovers out there, but I am a total wimp when it comes to high shoes. I am hoping that I’ll get over this one day though!

I was initially drawn to these studded sandals as they look very similar to the Valentino Rock Stud sandals which I have been coveting for ages. However, at $90 they were a fraction of the Valentino price. I will definitely be looking at more Karl Largerfeld shoes during my next trip.

COACH

These are the first items have I bought from Coach. I was after an everyday pair of black sandals and some loafers when I stumbled across these two pairs (along with the Karl Largerfeld beauties) in Saks 5th Avenue. I seem to have a thing about buying shoes when I travel to America; they are so much cheaper over there. It would be rude not to?

Both pairs were bargains too, at approximately $80 each in the Saks 5th Avenue Memorial Day weekend sale. Both pairs are extremely easy to wear so far, so definitely worth the money.

CHANEL

Now these are a pair of shoes that I wanted for many years, but I just could not justify the £400 price tag for a ballet pump. I always said to myself, and others, that if I ever got married that I would wear Chanel shoes. When the day finally came that I found someone crazy enough to marry me, I just had to have them. I didn’t actually end up wearing them on my wedding day though (I KNOW!) but that’s another story. If you’re interested you can read about my non-traditional wedding outfit here.

I bought these Chanel pumps from Selfridges in London (I’m a regular now!) and haven’t quite decided if the price tag matches up to my expectations yet. I just haven’t worn them enough yet to give you an honest opinion. I would recommend having rubber soles fixed to the bottom before you wear them, as the leather soles tend to wear out quite quickly, which would be horrifying after spending that much dosh!

BALENCIAGA

My dream sandals, which I haven’t been able to wear yet (sob, sob). It’s just not stopped raining recently, but now the weather is much better I can’t wait to start wearing them. I tend to walk quite a lot during the week, so I think these will be for weekends and special occasions, as I don’t want to wear them out too quickly.

After I had purchased the Balenciaga boots above, Balenciaga very kindly invited me to their pre season sale where I picked these up for £175. You can read the full story here.

CHIARA FERRAGNI SHOES

Glitter pumps from Chiara Ferragni Shoes are not my usually type, ie they’re not black! I’m sure you’ve noticed a theme on my blog. I rarely go off-piste when buying designer shoes, I’d rather stick to the high street for trend led items, just in case I think “what the hell have I done” after five minutes of owning them.

However, these pumps are really cool and I have had so many compliments when wearing them. They’re a great statement shoe for an all black outfit. You can read more about how to style statement shoes here. They cost £177 and I bought them online from Chiara Ferragni Shoes.

TORY BURCH

Not much to say about these two pairs of Tory Burch pumps, part from I bought them both during another trip to the US from a Tory Burch store in Las Vegas. They were both on sale at the time, I think they cost around $150 each.

They are really comfortable, but I don’t tend to wear them much anymore; the Chanel pumps win over these every time. I think I will probably sell them soon and put them towards something new.

MIU MIU

I fell in love with Miu Miu sneakers after seeing Shea Marie from Peace Love Shea wearing them a few summers ago, so I went on a mission to find myself a pair. As this style was sold out everywhere, I searched on Ebay and then finally found some on Vestiare Collective for around £80. When they arrived in their beautiful box I was so happy, there were as good as new and even more beautiful in real life.
