I wanted to share with you my monthly Fashion and Beauty favourites. This month I have been trying a lot of new products and picked up some great pieces. These are some of my faves..
DHC Deep cleansing oil
I recently tried this item as I have been having a nightmare removing my new mascara (Max Factor false lash effect 24hr mascara). I have tried lots of products before this one and none of them did the job. The olive oil based make up remover, to my delight, does exactly what it says on the box. “The ultimate makeup remover completely dissolves away dirt, excess oil and even waterproof mascara, leaving your skin soft and fresh, never greasy”. For best results, pump oil onto dry hands and massage onto dry face to breakdown the makeup, then rinse with plenty of water. This left me makeup free and fresh faced, not at all greasy or oily. It is quite expensive at £21.50 for a 200ml bottle, but 2 pumps removed my full makeup, including an indestructible mascara. I would most definitely recommend this product and will be purchasing when this one has been used.
I never been a big blusher fan, in fact it usually makes me look like a bit like a clown! Therefore, I tend to use a bronzer to give a bit more colour to my cheeks. I came across this product as I was looking for something to give me a little extra glow during the winter months when my face is a little on the pale side. I was drawn to O-Glow due its Goji Berry and Pomegranate ingredients which provide an “antioxidant protection”- sounds fancy! This silicone clear gel turns pink when blended into the face. The product is extremely silky and feels lovely on the skin. This is perfect for me as it lets you add a little extra colour without feeling like I have lots of layers on my face. The colour is very subtle when blended straight away, which is just what I wanted. However, if you have a darker complexion or want a brighter blush, then leave the gel on your cheeks for longer, then blend, to achieve the finish that you desire. It also doubles as a lip stain which is great! You can purchase O-Glow for £21 online and also in boots.
Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream
Firstly, I will be honest and say that this is the first BB Cream that I have ever used so I don’t have any other brands to compare it with. I have heard a lot of people talking about it recently and wanted to try something, for every day use, that was lighter than foundation. The instructions state that you can use the product with or without moisturiser, I have dry skin, so this was music to my ears. On first application I thought I would put it to the test and I tried it without. It was very moisturising, it evened out my skin tone and covered up minor blemishes, I even had a lovely glow to my face. I felt really fresh faced when I left the house, as if I had no product on at all… Perfect! However, a few hours later I started to regret not applying my usual moisturiser fist and before the end of the day I felt the need to apply more, which is very unusual for me. The next day I used a little more product after my usual moisturising routine, which worked much better. I do really like this Beauty Balm, it is perfect for a casual day and will be great for summer. It provides skin care, SPF 30 and makeup in one step! Who could argue with that? However, I will be sticking with my foundation during winter months when I require a little extra coverage. You can purchase Maybelline BB Cream from boots for £7.99.
I am obsessed with snake skin at the moment and I have had my eye on this Philip Lim Ryder Satchel for a while, it is exactly what I have been looking for. I have been on the hunt for a black and white snake skin bag for so long. Typical me though, it is very pricey! but after seeing this I am struggling to find one that compares. I very much doubt that Santa will be this kind to me.. but I can wish! I have just been back on the website to share the link with you and noticed that it is now half price! I nearly did a little happy dance, but then noticed that it is now sold out :-(. If any of you guys have seen anything similar that is more affordable or available? I would love for you to send me links please! I think this one will be staying on my “in your dreams list”.
I can’t tell you how much I love this season’s matching co-ords. I have to stop myself from buying every set that I see. This bomber jacket and short combo is definitely my favourite, the texture and print is very Isabel Marrant! I just had to have it. These, of course, look stunning together but you can also mix and match. Two piece dressing is a must for me at the moment, whether it be casual or dressy, I just can’t get enough. stay tuned for this outfit post coming soon! You can purchase this set from Topshop (here) & (here). I obviously also love this snake skin combo from Lipsy London (here).
Heeled Ankle Boots
You can probably already tell from my previous fashion posts (here) that I’m not an avid heel wearer. However, I have seen so many gorgeous heels recently that I had to get out of my comfort zone and give some a try. I saw these in H&M and instantly fell in love. I have so many flat ankle boots in my wardrobe, but a heeled pair are a must have to take a casual outfit from day to night. Not to mention that they make your legs look longer and slimmer! They are very comfortable too and such a bargain at £34.99. I can tell I will be wearing these a lot over Christmas! Also, see one of my recent Looks including these bad boys (here).
I hope you enjoyed Novembers fashion and beauty favourites? Happy December everyone!!xx
