THE BEST BREAKFAST IN NYC

THE BEST BREAKFAST IN NYC

The Egg Shop NYC is up there with the best! Not only for breakfast, but brunch, lunch and dinner too. Hey, I’d go there 3 times in one day if I could… she says sobbing, being over 3000 miles away really does suck. I had the pleasure of visiting this delightful place, not once, not twice, but 3 times during a 4 night stay in the Big Apple during the Christmas holidays. Obsessed I know, you don’t need to tell me.

THE VIBE
Based in the Lower East Side of Manhattan The Egg Shop serves all things egg to its hungry customers, who are usually queuing out of the door for a table! It’s a small restaurant with a very cool NYC edge. The staff are equally cool, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I never knew you could have eggs so many ways or with so many different ingredients… they have totally nailed it.

THE FOOD
Firstly, “Cruisers” (eggs in a bowl with your chosen ingredients) are my favourite. I went for the Spandex which included poached eggs, miso quinoa, avocado, pickled carrot, farm greens and gluten free tamari. O.M.G it was literally the yummiest breakfast I have ever had. No lie.

Secondly, it’s not just eggs that they do extremely well. I tried the fried chicken too and it awesome. So crispy and delicious, it is now what I dream off when I need fried chicken in my life.

Thirdly, this restaurant will not break the bank either. The food is very reasonably priced for the quality and service. A bargain if you ask me. You can check out the menu and prices here.

THE DRINKS
Last, but not least are the drinks. I will be honest, I only tried one. As you can see from the pics, it was a very, very good Bloody Mary. They make these with varying degrees of chilli added to them. Anyone that knows me will tell you that I’m addicted to spicy food, so I went for the hottest one. Eek! It was HOT. It was still lovely though and I managed to finish it, but I think next time I’d go somewhere in the middle heat wise. That will teach me eh!

You can also check out all the drinks here too.

CONCLUSION
If you like eggs and your in NYC, you have to go here. Seriously you are missing out if you don’t. The Egg Shop, in my opinion, is definitely one of the best places in NYC to full up your tummy any time of the day!

I love it and I know you will love it too. xxxx

THE LOOK
For a casual stroll around the lower east side, I chose a denim pinafore dress from ASOS with one of my trusty roll necks from Uniqlo. I completed the look with a Forever 21 Fedora, The Kooples leather jacket, Balenciaga bag and Spring Court trainers. What would you wear to hit the streets of NYC?xxxx
